2018 will mark Misha’s twelfth year practicing dentistry. Misha’s current philosophy is shaped by his experiences in private practice thus far. When he graduated from the U of A dental program in 2006, he was asked to remain at the school as a clinical instructor. It has been said that the highest form of learning is to teach, and for Misha, this philosophy is irrefutable.
Misha entered private practice as an associate at the Meadowlark Dental Centre. Under the guidance of two experienced mentors, Dr. Ken Luft and Dr. Ed McIntyre, he was encouraged to explore his interest in surgery and dental implants. Misha established a relationship with Nobel Biocare, the world’s largest dental implant company, which, quite to his surprise and without intention, has become one of Misha’s top partners.
Despite the success of Misha’s implant practice, general dentistry remains his focus. For him, the most rewarding aspect of his profession is the relationships formed with families. He strives to see these relationships grow generations deep.
Misha endeavours to treat every new patient for a lifetime. With this in mind, the treatment recommendations from him and the Avalon team are tailored for a positive patient outcome for later in life.
Misha is excited to welcome you to Avalon Dental!
Robyn spent 5 years living, studying and working in Monmouth County, New Jersey where she completed a jewelry apprenticeship.
Upon returning to Canada, Robyn established her own small business that manufactures and markets jewelry. Through her love of creating jewelry and as a performing musician, she has developed excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. The passion to work with her hands, along with a desire to work with and care for the elderly, led Robyn to pursuit a profession in Denturism.
Robyn graduated from the Denturist Technology program with honors at Nait in 2012. Since that time, she has been treating patients in Edmonton both in the clinic and completing house calls for patients that are not mobile. This has solidified two very different types of treatment approaches. Furthermore, it allowed her to gain further her knowledge and versatility as a practitioner. Robyn is a firm believer that properly fitted and adjusted dentures, communication, and patient education are key to a successful outcome and excellent oral health.
Aside from dentures, she enjoys skiing with her two sons in the winter months, flower gardening in summer, and playing video games. She feels privileged to be part of a wonderful team at Avalon Dental. Robyn is looking forward to meeting you during your next appointment at Avalon.
